hot damn
Benicio Del Toro is sexy. Go see Che if you have four extra hours on your hands. You will probably not regret it.

I know I'm late but...
I'm totally head over heels for this ad! I saw it today downtown and almost weeped. I never really paid much attention to Juicy Couture but their use of Mimi Weddell (the elderly model on the far left) is absolute genius! It actually made me want to don a pastel suit and hat. Job well done Juicy.

snl is cool again
but I guess it's expected to do well in an election year. But now it's over. what on earth will they do now? these Gap ads, however, are the perfect thing to come along for both snl AND the economy. I have never wanted to wrap myself in a sweater more than I do now.

subway serenade
there's nothing like being serenaded on the B train. and by mariachis singing the Beatles, no less. new york is truly a magical place where cultures and ideas meld so well. except for those rare occasions, where individuals get into small arguments about God knows what and yell at each other in the street like no one is watching.

M.I.A. is still more badass than you
even while being pregnant with a child. Her being knocked up does not seem strange to me, however. I do have one question, though. Isn't she supposed to be retired? This was one retirement that i believed was going to be followed through with. I guess the late success of Paper Planes was inspiring. Or maybe she just likes money like the rest of us.
bizarre
I find myself strangely drawn to her outfit. No doubt it took her HOURS to put on. Fashionistas all over are dubbing it "ghastly" and "horrific" but I actually like it. All I was for Halloween was Tiger Lily. I never really liked Heidi Klum but now I am a fan, and a little bit jealous. And curious. How did she got her eyes to be so red? Auf wiedersehen.
There is a God
And he placed these three souls in the same sketchy house where they were probably forced to talk to each other out of sheer boredom. Where the fuck was this party? And what was Julian Casablancas talking about that made the two Alexes so interested? The new Strokes album perhaps? Jesus I hope so.

san francisco is
my new home. San Francisco might be the most beautiful city in the world. I love it. I just hope it loves me back.

New York is...
a hot sweaty mess in the summer but if you can get past the horrible humidity and the large mass of tourists it's kind of perfect. Plus they have those really trendy shirts that say "I Heart NY" on them. Priceless.

Oh my!
Blech. The Coppolas have outdone themselves once again. Look at this disgustingly fantastic ad for Louis Vuitton! Annie Leibovitz, who is arguably the most talented photographer of our time, shot this in Argentina where Papa Coppola is working on his next film. I suppose that it pays to be the muse of Marc Jacobs. Where do you sign me up for that job?
Does anyone else want to be her?
M.I.A. can not only create a badass beat but her style is out of this world. Her outfits are comparable to an early Karen O but less costume like. I hope she continues dressing this way so I have someone to look up to and try to emulate.
Juergen Teller
Is a genius. Juergen Teller has shot many ads for Marc Jacobs but this recent addition of Harmony Korine, M.I.A and Victoria Beckam in them have rendered me speechless! The photographs are close to perfection and I can't wait to see what he does next.

This movie looks badass
I always do this however. I always build up a movie in my head. I thought that "Hancock" would be funny. That let me down to say the least. Now there is this new movie out called "The Wackness". It's about New York in the 90's. I always feel a little left out that I never actually "lived" through the 90's. The music and the fashion is incomparable to any other decade. I'm sure it will be filled with unnecessary weed jokes but it actually looks entertaining, if it isn't then at least it will be another lesson for me.
